Come si compila un assegno

Nel 2011 in Italia è stata introdotta una norma che impedisce i pagamenti in contanti per importi superiori ai 1000 euro. Da Gennaio 2012 infatti ogni tipo di pagamento superiore a questa cifra deve essere tracciabile, sia per acquisti di beni che per pagamenti di stipendi o prestazioni d’opera. Ma se per un acquisto in negozio basta la carta di credito o il bancomat per superare questo ostacolo, per le altre spese conviene avere un libretto degli assegni ed utilizzare questa forma di pagamento al portatore legittimo.

L’assegno è infatti un titolo di credito che viene pagato dalla banca soltanto al soggetto a cui questo è intestato. In questo modo si ha la certezza che i nostri soldi vadano proprio nelle mani della persona giusta. Questo in caso di assegno non trasferibile, ossia per il quale non sia possibile la cosiddetta girata.

Girare un assegno vuol dire disporre che la riscossione del pagamento venga effettuata da un’altra persona, quindi utilizzare un assegno a proprio nome per pagare un’altra persona.

Come si compila un assegno: guida completa

Vediamo quali sono le istruzioni passo passo per compilare correttamente un assegno. Per cominciare indichiamo chi riceverà il pagamento. Se è una persona fisica si scriverà cognome e nome, se si tratta di un’associazione o azienda si utilizzerà l’intestazione completa. Poi c’è da aggiungere la data e il luogo, essenziali per il cambio dell’assegno e per localizzare i pagamenti. Terzo passaggio, da compilare con cura, è l’aggiunta della cifra da pagare. Ci sono due spazi in cui inserire la cifra: il primo è in alto e permette di scrivere l’importo in numeri. Si consiglia di mettere dei simboli prima e dopo la cifra in modo che nessuno possa aggiungere altri numeri. Solitamente si usa #, per evitare che altri simboli si confondano con qualche numero. Al centro dell’assegno c’è un altro spazio dove scrivere il valore del pagamento: qui la cifra va scritta in lettere, con l’aggiunta dei centesimi a numero, staccati da una virgola o sbarra. Solo la corrispondenza tra lettere e numeri potrà rendere valido e univoco il valore dell’assegno. Infine apponiamo la firma in calce per completare l’operazione.

Per finire, bisogna fare le stesse operazioni anche sulla matrice dell’assegno, ossia la parte che rimane sul blocchetto e non viene staccata.

Attenzione con gli assegni!

Bisogna prestare attenzione quando si emette un assegno o quando lo si riceve. Intanto, è un reato staccare un assegno scoperto, ossia inserire un importo maggiore a quello sul conto bancario. In questo caso si entrerà in protesto e la banca potrebbe bloccare l’emissione di assegni. Poi sono vietati gli assegni post datati, ossia staccati con una data posteriore a quella di reale emissione.
