Il primo bagnetto del proprio cane è un’esperienza divertente ed emozionante, anche se è importante che venga fatta con le dovute accortezze. E’ importante capire come lavare un cane cucciolo, poichè si tratta di un’operazione da eseguire scrupolosamente per evitare spiacevoli sorprese. La soluzione migliore è lavare il cucciolo di cane con aceto, da mescolare ad acqua calda ed utilizzando una spugnetta imbevuta che potrà essere strofinata sul pelo del cucciolo in tutte le direzioni, dunque anche in contropelo, passando poi all’asciugatura e usando un cardatore per pettinare il pelo (in questo caso non in contropelo).

Ma quando si può lavare un cucciolo di cane nello specifico? se ci si trova nella stagione fredda dunque è bene aspettare l’arrivo dei primi caldi, dunque il primo bagnetto potrà essere fatto nella stagione primaverile o estiva, optando per le ore più calde della giornata, ma sempre e comunque ad almeno due settimane di distanza dall’ultimo richiamo dei vaccini. Inoltre è bene preparare, prima di iniziare il lavaggio, procurarsi asciugamani, fon e un cardatore, in quanto dopo il bagno il cucciolo tenderà a scrollarsi l’acqua di dosso o a cercare di allontanarsi e risulterà difficile recuperare i prodotti per asciugarlo.

Ma come lavare un cane cucciolo? anzitutto è importante utilizzare acqua tiepida, dunque non eccessivamente calda e lasciare un collarino addosso al cucciolo in maniera tale da fermarlo senza fargli male se cercasse di scappare. Il lavaggio inizia dalle zampe per poi proseguire su pancia, schiena e collo, evitando di bagnare il muso e le orecchie che potranno essere puliti in un secondo momento utilizzando una spugnetta imbevuta di acqua e aceto.

Lo shampoo va versato distribuendolo in modo uniforme e massaggiando delicatamente il cucciolo, per poi sciacquarlo utilizzando acqua tiepida e indirizzando il getto, non forte, dall’alto verso il basso così da rimuovere completamente sporco e tracce di sapone. Infine si passa all’asciugatura, prima con un pannocane ed in seguito con il fon, utilizzando un getto tiepido e non intenso, per non spaventare il cucciolo di cane; nei mesi caldi una passeggiata al sole è il modo migliore per eliminare ogni residuo di bagnato e tracce di umidità.

Se questi sono i passaggi per chi si domanda come lavare un cane cucciolo, la procedura è un po’ diversa per coloro i quali si domandano invece come lavare un gatto: è bene rimuovere il pelo in eccesso prima di lavarlo, spazzolando con cura il pelo del gatto.

Il bagno deve essere preparato aggiungendo lo shampoo all’acqua, che non deve avere una temperatura superiore ai 37-38 gradi e, qualora il gatto sopporti il contatto con l’acqua, è possibile utilizzare il doccino, prestando attenzione a non bagnare il viso dell’animale.
